UAG was created to help IB and Cambridge IGCSE students in Africa plan their university journey with clarity, confidence, and purpose — starting from day one.
The idea for UAG was born from a personal experience. Throughout a four-year IB journey, it became clear there was a significant gap in resources designed to help students prepare for university applications and understand everything the process involves.
Building a competitive portfolio without a clear understanding of university prerequisites was both confusing and overwhelming. While some of these challenges could have been avoided through more independent research, many students in their first year of high school aren't yet thinking about university. There's a common misconception that university preparation only begins once you enter the Diploma Programme — when in reality, many opportunities to strengthen an application start much earlier.
UAG was created to bridge that gap, giving students the guidance we wish we'd had — so they can approach their future with confidence and purpose.
UAG enables students to start planning early and understand the implications of their subject choices. Built specifically for IB students in Africa, UAG is not another application platform — it's the tool that prepares you for one.
We help a 14-year-old ask the right question: "If I might want medicine, engineering, law, architecture, or economics, what subjects and experiences should I be building now?" And then we help them answer it.
Every feature exists for a reason. We build tools that solve real problems for real students — not features for the sake of them.
Built for students in Africa, by someone who studied there. We understand the unique challenges of applying internationally from the continent.
UAG is built around the student experience — not the institution, not the counselor, not the university. You come first.
I created UAG because I lived the problem it solves.
I've always been passionate about combining creativity with problem-solving to build things that make life genuinely easier. Whether through research, design, entrepreneurship, or technology — I'm drawn to ideas that have a meaningful impact on people.
UAG was built from the belief that great technology should be intuitive, accessible, and genuinely useful. I'm committed to continuously improving the experience based on feedback from the community.
Thank you for being part of this journey — I hope UAG becomes something that adds real value to yours.
We envision a world where every student in Africa — regardless of their school's resources or their counselor's availability — has access to the same quality of university guidance as students anywhere else in the world.
UAG is the beginning of that. A platform that grows with its students, expands across borders, and becomes the go-to starting point for any young person asking: "What's next, and how do I get there?"
UAG grows because of its users. Your suggestions shape every update, and we're always excited to hear how we can make your experience better.
Thanks for being here. We're excited to have you as part of our community and can't wait to continue building something amazing together.
